Refund Policy

1. Refund Window
Customers may request a full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase, subject to the conditions in Section 2 below.
2. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. The following guidelines apply:
- Within 14 days with minimal usage: Full refund will be issued. Minimal usage means fewer than 10 chat messages processed and fewer than 10 crawled pages, or the site has not been indexed yet.
- Within 14 days with substantial usage: Partial refunds may be offered at our discretion. Substantial usage includes indexing more than 10 pages, processing more than 10 chat messages, or extended use of the dashboard.
- After 14 days: Refunds are not guaranteed but will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for exceptional circumstances (e.g., extended service outages on our end).
- Abuse or violation of Terms: No refund will be issued if your account was terminated for violating our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
3. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Email us at support@websiteaiassistant.com with the subject line "Refund Request".
- Include the email address associated with your account and the reason for the refund request.
- We will review your request and respond within 5 business days.
4. How Refunds Are Processed
All payments are processed by Paddle, our payment processor and merchant of record. When a refund is approved:
- The refund is processed through Paddle's systems.
- Funds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout.
- Processing time depends on Paddle, your payment method, and your financial institution.
- Refunds are processed in the same currency as the original transaction.
As Paddle is the merchant of record, refunds are subject to Paddle's policies in addition to our own. For more information, see Paddle's Terms and Privacy Policy.
5. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard. Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period (monthly or annual).
- You will not be charged for the next billing period.
- No prorated refunds are issued for the remaining days in the current billing period, unless explicitly stated in an approved refund request.
- Cancelling does not automatically delete your account. You may continue using any features available to your resulting plan, re-subscribe later, or delete the account after the paid subscription is fully cancelled. The Privacy Policy explains the applicable data-retention periods.
6. Free Plan And Upgrades
We offer a free starting point so you can try the product before upgrading. You are only charged after you choose a paid plan through Paddle.
Refund requests apply to paid subscriptions after a charge has been collected. If you stay on the free plan and never complete a paid checkout, there is nothing to refund.
7. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge through your bank or payment provider, Paddle will manage the dispute as merchant of record. We may restrict paid features while the related payment or subscription is no longer in good standing, subject to applicable law and the final outcome reported by Paddle.
